AACSR Conductor stands for Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced. It’s a type of electrical cable that combines the conductivity of aluminum with the strength of steel.
Description: AACSR Conductor stands for Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced. It's a type of electrical cable that combines the conductivity of aluminum with the strength of steel.
Standard: ASTM B711,DIN 48206,IEC 61089.
Construction: (1)Aluminum Core: The center section of the cable is made of aluminum wires, which provide excellent conductivity. Aluminum was chosen for its light weight, good conductivity, and lower cost.
(2)Steel Core: A layer of steel wires surrounds the aluminum core. The steel provides additional tensile strength, making the cable stronger and able to withstand physical stresses such as wind, ice, and the weight of the cable itself.
Application: AACSR Conductor are commonly used in overhead power lines. Their design allows them to handle high voltage and long spans while providing resistance to physical stresses. This makes them suitable for use in areas where the cable needs to span long distances without intermediate support.
